Sneak Peek of my 1st Publication!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you are all doing great out there in Blogland!  It is a HOT day here in California.  I hope wherever you are, you are enjoying the weekend and staying cool.
Speaking of HOT ... this is hot off the sneak peek press!  Charmed Confections 1st publication!

Look at this beautiful cover - a lounging skeleton lady by the super,
talented Scott Smith of Rucus Studios.
Amazing artistry!

I can hardly believe it ... a dream come true ... my sweet Charmed Confections artwork will be published in the upcoming August 2013 issue of Art Doll Quarterly Magazine.  Five of my pieces have been selected for publication.  I remember reading this magazine as a teen-aged girl and dreaming about creating something magical.  Funny how things come full circle.

Stampington.com / Art Doll posted a sneak peek of 8 of their pages.  I was shocked and thilled to see my sweet Cyclops Ghoulie-Cake smiling back at me from the table of contents page - an unexpected surprise!

My sweet, dear friend Carly Smith of Boggy Bottom Bayou is also listed.  She has a darling Halloween frog (see top left-hand picture) and her fabulous cage doll, Marguerite, is pictured right above my cyclops picture - a must see!  Carly has also written a wonderful article called "The Bling Factor" which will be featured in this issue.  Congrats to you, Carly, and thank you for cheering me on too!  Can't wait to hold the magazine in my hands!  Another month to wait ... Ugh!

Well, things have been busy here in the workroom.  I have about eight different projects that I am currently working on.  Really excited about them too.  I will be posting again early in the week to give you a first glance at my upcoming offerings for Pfatt Marketplace and SpookyTime Jingles.  Feel free to post a comment and let me know what you are working on.  I would love to hear from you.  We'll cheer each other on.

I recently joined up with a wonderful group of ladies from the FolkArt and Primitives group (FAAP) on Etsy.  (Brenda from The Rusty Thimble is our Fearless Leader!  We all love her art!)  You can find FAAP offerings on my sidebar - click on the Etsy link and it will take you to a list of everything that is available.  Lots of talented artists in this group with wonderful offerings to purchase.  When you have time, check it out!

So much to share with you on all the happenings going on, but I will close for now and blog again later.

p.s.  I still need to take photos of my darling snowman I won on Lisa Ammerman's blog giveaway.  Lisa is the talented artist behind "A Piece of Lisa".  Her blog link is in my favorites!  I love my snowman and he hasn't melted yet!!

Until then .... xoxo

New Available Artwork!

Hi Everyone in BlogLand!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  I have been finishing up my offerings for Spookytime Jingles (which posts on June 13th) and for my Etsy store.  It has been so HOT here that I am sluggish and missed my deadline for Pfatt Marketplace.  So, for those of you who find my items there ... it will say I am on vacation.  Boo!  Really, I am laying under the air conditioner trying to stay cool.  I hate missing deadlines, but with all my other obligations and school getting out, I just couldn't keep up.  I so need a keeper or a really cute cabana boy would be nice too.  I do have some pretty cool items in the works though.  Next month will bring lots of surprises.  :)    Please stop by www.pfattmarketplace.com tomorrow to see all the talented artists there.

~~ Below are the items that I did get done. ~~

This piece is called "Witch's Eye"!  This will list on Spookytime Jingles on June 13th.  Wouldn't this be a conversation piece on your party table.  Take out my business card and add your own scary message to personalize it.  If you are interested go to www.spookytimejingles.com to purchase.  Check out the site and see the other artist' offerings too!
SOLD - Thank you, Pam!

You could have some fun with that eye!  It looks pretty real - made from paperclay using my own technique for the tiny red veins.

I know you want to take a bite - Don't you?

~~~~~~~~~~
Here are two more Ghoulie-Cakes.  Since I will be doing a local Halloween show this October, I wanted to make myself a Halloween business card holder.  I am loving it ... so, I made two more.  Can you picture these on your desk at work or maybe you have a store with a front counter.  I am really loving the ghoulie hand!  If you don't have business cards, make your own Halloween sayings and display them that way.  A Halloween countdown with numbers would be great too!  There are lots of options on how to use these!
These are available in my Etsy shop for $38.00, plus shipping.  Here is the link:  http://www.etsy.com/shop/CharmedConfections?ref=search_shop_redirect
Last but not least, my two Spider Bites are still available.  I have given them some candies, because they were crying.  Here are some closeup pictures for you.   Super cute in person.  Give them another look.
  They will be listed in my Etsy shop as well for $35.00 each, plus shipping.
Her crown is soo cute!  It has three tiny ghost around it!
I think he is happier now that he has a lolly!
Later this month, I will be getting back to my Trunk Monsters and shelf sitters.  I do have a few more surprises for you in the works.  I am really pleased with my three hanging ghosts!
I am mostly working on Halloween art currently, as I am trying to build up some inventory for the show and not wait til last minute.  Ok ... I'm off.   If any of you find a cute cabana boy, send him my way.  It's hot and my pool needs to be cleaned!!
Hope you all have a wonderful week.  Stay cool!  XOXO
