Last Call on Halloween Charmed Confections

Hi Everyone!

Well, it has been a whirl wind of fun so far this Halloween season, hasn't it?!!  I am sitting here just smiling as I write this, feeling blessed to have had such a wonderful time preparing for my beloved holiday.  My sweet doggie, Jake is sleeping under my chair.

This was my first year participating in two national Halloween shows, Hallowbaloo (in Seattle, WA) and Halloween and Vine (in Petaluma, CA).  I have done lots of shows in the past, either working with another artist or showing my art, but both of these two shows specialize in high end Halloween art for the collector.  I was, and still am, so excited to have had my Charmed Confections there.  It was such a wonderful and memorable time.

My sister and I drove to Hallowbaloo.  14 hours from where I live, but my sister and I had a great time.  Laughing all the way there.  If you follow me on facebook, you might have seen all our posts on the trip.  I tried to keep you all with me by posting our journey there.  So much fun!  Check out my Facebook page and see for yourself.   Meeting all the artists there, was so fantastic!  I have admired them from a far and now, I am so happy to consider each and everyone of them my friends!  Such a great, wonderful group of talented, and super kind people.  It was a great experience.

Halloween and Vine was the following weekend!  So it was unpack from one show and repack for another.  Crazy it was like being on tour ... ok ... in my dreams, if I was a rock star!  LOL!  Halloween and Vine is such an amazing show.  If you live in the area, you sooo need to go!  I took my Mom to the show with me this time and we met up with my sister in Petaluma.  I have to say, that I loved being with both of them.  It was work, but we had a wonderful weekend all together!  The show was Fantastic!  A huge crowd, fantastic art and artists!  Wonderful show hosts that I just love to pieces --- they made me feel so welcome!  A frenzy of customers and collectors!  It was a cyclone of Halloween madness that I was swept up in.  I could have stayed FOREVER!!!  There is such a thing as Halloween Heaven!  Been there!!!

When those two shows were over, I came home unpacked and got ready for the next show the following weekend.  I know ... three shows - three weekends in a row!  The last show was held in Sacramento, CA.  A fun show that I do every year.   My inventory was really low, but still was happy to have something to offer the folks.  It is funny, I have done this show a few years now and meet those sweet customers who keep coming back to buy something new from me.  Such a treat!  I am beginning to remember their faces and names now.  How nice to have someone actually look for my booth spot!  It's crazy to me!

So, to wrap it all up with a pretty, wicked bow, I have to say that this year is one I will never forget.  The Lord has truly blessed me in my endeavors!  I am so thankful to all the friends I have met along the way, to the collectors who continue to amaze me that they even want a piece of my art, to my family who is always there .. come hell or high water ... I know you got me, and to the rest of you who would take time out of your busy day to read this.  I so appreciate you all!

Lastly, thought I would show you some of the pieces I still have available in my Etsy Shoppe or on Giggleswick.  I made a ton of art this year and this is it!  WOW!!  To think all my pieces are in others homes.  Now, that is something to smile about!

The two scaredy boys above are still available.
If you are interested in them.

Thanks, Lisa! It was a lot of work, but so much fun! I hope next year you can participate too. Your art is wonderful & whimsical and I am sure it would be well received at either show. You need to plan for one or two!! We would have so much fun together! Hugs, LeeAnn

Hi LeeAnn,

I had the pleasure of coming to Petaluma and seeing and purchasing your art for the first time:). I love it! It goes well with my collection! I came from Sacramento area and I wasn't aware of another art show so close to home, can you give me the details so I might attend next year? Thanks and can't wait to see more of your work!
